The most recent team planning day was on 20th January 2013, held in Crownhill police station. During the day the team benefited from having Rotarians Diana and Geoff Fitch come to discuss life in South Korea, as they previously spent a number of years living in Seoul. The team found Diana and Geoff’s input extremely useful in determining many issues about correct etiquette and key considerations that needed to be borne in mind when identifying items that the team should take with them.
The planning day also included the team furthering their understanding of the host country by discussing fundamental similarities and differences between the UK and South Korea and between Devon and the host district Jeollanam-Do, used these discussions to aide the identification of what could usefully be included in the team’s presentation, discussed team image and began to plan the content of brochures and business cards for the trip.
Thank you to Diana and Geoff for their time, their insights, and their wealth of South Korean reading material!
