Goodbye to Joohee

April 24, 2013 by rkpcs

The team said a very sad goodbye to Joohee at the end of their final language lesson tonight, only four days before their departure for South Korea.

Joohee has been diligently working with the team for the last four months, developing our South Korean language, checking the translation of a variety of documents which will be relied upon during the exchange and helping the team to understand important issues of etiquette, culture and tradition.

Joohee has been amazingly patient and we all extend our heartfelt thanks to her for all of her patient support whilst we took those first few steps in attempting to master a language which is so different to our own. Under Joohee’s careful instruction, the team now have a plethora of day-to-day phrases to use, can read Korean words (albeit very slowly and somewhat tentatively) and each team member will begin their presentation with a two minute introduction to themselves which will be delivered entirely in Korean.

Thank you once again Joohee, and we look forward to seeing you at one of the team’s presentations after our return.

I just love the look of total self-confidence on Sally’s face as those Korean words flow from her mouth! Al;-l the very best to all of you on your exciting, challenging venture!
