Ed was born in Devon in 1982 and grew up living on the Devon and Cornwall border. Coming from a close family with a brother and four cousins life was rarely dull during his early years. Ed was educated at Devonport High School for Boys before studying Geography at the University of Exeter, graduating in 2005.
After university Ed became a bar manager in Plymouth before joining the Devon and Cornwall Police in 2007. During his service Ed has held a number of roles and is currently a detective within the Criminal Investigation Department of Torquay Police Station.
When he’s not at work Ed is a volunteer for Devon and Cornwall 4×4 response – a group of unpaid volunteer 4×4 drivers who are willing to help Emergency Services and other public bodies, for emergency logistical support.
Ed also enjoys going to the gym, playing sport, walking his dog, going out on his boat to fish and water-ski and going snowboarding. Ed feels very fortunate to live in Devon – a great place to live and the perfect location to enjoy these activities with friends and family.
Ed is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Ivybridge.
